Final preview…

…..’cause I have to set up the show!

I’ve been having some fun in the studio (you may have guessed that).  I made a bunch of bangles, and I’m so happy with them that I’m sure I’ll be making an armload more.

Here they area all together:

This was a late breaking idea, and I am really taken with it.  It's kind of like a belt for your wrist!  Sterling silver with 14K yellow gold rivets.

I also finished a brooch that started with a amethyst cabochon and an ancient idea about the power of amethyst.  Amongst other properties, amethyst was purported to protect you from drunkenness.  The ancient Greeks make drinking cups out of amethyst!  So, one thought led to another, and I decided to design an “absinthe spoon” for the amethyst.  Of course, it’s not really meant to be used as a spoon, but I designed a version that includes the expected elements – a groove for the lip of the glass, and a spot for the cube of sugar.

Tobago!
