A peek into the studio space that I call my own!!

I am taking an e-course at the moment, called Creative Courage by Stephanie Levy.  I’ve found it useful so far and would go so far as to recommend it if you are having some creative struggles or just want to tap into your creativity in a serious way.

One of the most recent “lessons” was about improving your workspace and we have been getting to see the other course partcipant’s studios – which I love!  It appeals to the nosy part of me, plus it’s always fun to see how others work!  In case you are particularly interested in jeweller’s studio spaces you can see lots more at Ganoskin – let’s just say even though my bench looks like I have a lot of stuff, I’m a lightweight!

So without further ado….

the soldering station
I have a soldering table set up in the garage. Once you see my "studio" space you'll see why.... What a great metal table I scored from IKEA!
drawing table
This is the table I use for sketching, computer stuff, and I clear it off and cover with newspapers for enameling.
my jeweller's bench
If you turn the chair around you will see my bench. As you can see in both pictures I like things on the wall!
inspiration corner
The upper right corner of my table - all sorts of fun things for inspiration!

Well, that’s it in a nutshell.  My room is long and narrow and this seems to be the most efficient set up.  I know I am very fortunate to have a space like this, but I still have a problem with storage space.  Ugh, whine.

Hope you are all well on this unusually warm Thanksgiving!

Valerie

    • LOL at the serial continuation idea. I do agree that every gadget has its positive and negative sides. But I have been trying to make out how people have been using TV positively. The TV seems to be used more negatively by us and against us. One positive thing is it relaxes your mind (with some enmritaentent) after an exhaustive day of work. Destination Infinity
