A few of my Hill House Jewellery Collective cohorts and I will be at the Bloorcourt Arts and Crafts Street Fair this Saturday, August 13th! We will be at the third table east of Dovercourt St. Just to make it a real pop-up surprise we are listed under the name “Mishka Peachka”! We want to keep everyone on their toes…. It looks like there should be some interesting vendors there, and I am quite excited to be going!
This is our (Scott and my) old stomping grounds. When we first moved to Toronto we lived on Bloor St West, just west of Christie; for about two years. Of course the old neighborhood has changed a lot since we lived there – first it took a major dive (which is why we moved) and but it seems to have pulled itself up out of the mire. Despite the problems that caused us to move, I still have fond memories of living in this area. It was our first apartment on our own – together; and for me, it was my first time living in the BIG CITY!!! Far, far away from home…
This is the first year for this festival, and I always think it’s nice when a community tries something new. I hope we’ll see you there! Here is a sample of pieces I will be taking to this show:
You may have guessed that it’s all about color for me at this show!!
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful day!
