Still here!

No, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth.  I’ve just been playing with gemstones.  Boy is that fun, I mean FUN – ’cause of course it’s all about color!

I have a lot of colored stones in my collection (which I’ve mentioned before – the teensy hoarding problem, an occupational hazard).  I really wanted to get the designs using them out of my sketchbook and onto the bench.  I also rediscovered some gemstones made into shapes and designed some pieces just for them.

Here are some of the pieces hot off the bench…

I've had this cute carnelian starfish for some time - put away safely... So, when I refound it, I thought it was high time to use it. I highlighted the starfish with aquamarine and kyanite beads and more carnelian!

I'm lovin' this - it's so summery!

This plume agate heart is another "hidden gem" (ie. put away safely). The carnelian, onyx, labradorite beads became the perfect foil for this heart!

Plume agate is one of my favorite stones. No two are alike. I love the hint of orange in this heart.

But if you want more drama - here it is: lapis lazuli, sodalite, blueberry quarts, golden pearls!

Finally, for those who enjoy the look of gold I made the Marsala necklace (and earrings) with 14K rose gold filled chain.  It goes together so well!

I’ll be back with more!
