Indoor pursuits – a peek into the studio

When the weather outside is frightful….

Well, that’s the time to sketch and design.  It isn’t too cold outside today, but it still is darn cold in the “hot” part of my studio – which means the garage.  This is where the soldering station and my kiln are.  The little space heater I have for my area can’t keep up!  That’s why it’s much better to stay in the  inner sanctum and do some design work and planning.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s percolating here at Firepan central….

Starting to sketch out some ideas for a commissioned brooch.
Starting to sketch out some ideas for a commissioned brooch; and yes, I do use pencils to the bitter end.
Testing out shapes and patterned metal. What will these be???

This is almost as fun as the end result.... picking out colors for a few enameled pieces.

It looks like tomorrow will be slightly above zero (!!), so I’m thinking it will be time to turn on the kiln….

Keep well,

Valerie

  1. There are certainly a whole lot of particulars like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I supply the thoughts above as normal inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you convey up where a very powerful factor will probably be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if greatest practices have emerged round things like that, but I am certain that your job is clearly recognized as a fair game. Each girls and boys feel the impression of just a second? pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
